The plate displayed here represents the trials and tribulations that the Utah pioneers experienced when they started the Mormon Church. The plate indicates that after that time and after the time when they left for Missouri and were later run out of Missouri when they migrated to Nauvoo Illinois and started their trek to the territory which was to become Utah. Even when they arrived in Utah there was still a large group of pioneers moving across the Great Plains into Utah.
